Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Kapchorwa and Evening coffee guided tour.
After an early morning breakfast, our guide/driver will provide a concise briefing, after which we depart promptly from your accommodation for the Sipi Falls adventure tour in Kapchorwa district, a picturesque 194km drive, The journey takes you along the scenic Iganga road, passing through Iganga town and onward to Mbale town where we’ll pause for a 45-minute lunch stop en route. After lunch, our journey continues to Kapchorwa, where you’ll check in and have a brief rest. Following this, a local guide will provide a detailed briefing before leading us on a captivating 2-4 hour coffee tour, where you’ll experience the local method of making black coffee amidst the stunning natural surroundings. We’ll return to our accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on a day filled with exploration and cultural immersion in this beautiful region.

After a hearty breakfast, our adventure begins with an refreshing walk and hike near the captivating Sipi Falls. Comprising three waterfalls nestled closely together, this area offers a stunning panorama of Mount Elgon and the expansive plains below. As we embark on our journey, we’ll explore caves hidden behind the main falls and keep our eyes peeled for the diverse birdlife that inhabits this region. The climb to the top of the falls promises breathtaking views, though the steep descent and subsequent climb back require physical effort, making the hike approximately 3½ hours long, depending on individual fitness levels.
Throughout the excursion, we’ll traverse through local communities, providing us with picturesque views of the rolling hills that define this scenic landscape. This morning trek offers a perfect blend of adventure and cultural immersion, showcasing the natural beauty and warm hospitality of the area.
Returning to our place of accommodation, we’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch and take some time to relax, reflecting on the morning’s exploration. The journey back to kampala follows the same scenic route, allowing us to savor once more the beauty of the surroundings we’ve come to appreciate during our unforgettable day at Sipi Falls..
