The 3-day safari will take you to Uganda’s most visited national park according to the number of travelers visiting each year, Queen Elizabeth National Park. It was named after the queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, after her visit to the park in 1952. The park covers an area of 1,978 sq. km and is found in the western part of the country, approximately 376km from Kampala. The park is home to about 100 mammal species and around 606 bird species. You will be able to see large numbers of antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and buffaloes among others during the game drives through the park.
It is famous for its tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, crater lakes, forested gorges that are home to chimpanzees, Savannah plains, swamps, rivers, and the beautiful Kazinga channel – home to an abundance of wildlife. The park has the highest number of bird species in Uganda and any protected area in East Africa.
